I am a licensed property and casualty agent. I have 43 plus years of experience in insurance. I am a Bedford County native and I take pride in our agency and serving people. We, at Bedford Mutual Insurance Agency treat our clients as people not as another number on the books. We are honest, caring individuals who work hard for your trust and confidence. Sheila’s tenure with Bedford Mutual is seven plus years.  Her skills and prior work experience are well utilized in her position with us as bookkeeper and payroll. 

She also enjoys answering the phone, taking payments and waiting on customers.  Meeting clients and helping to know they have a peace of mind with their home and assets is an enjoyable part of her job.  Sheila is a Bedford County native and after working in Rustburg is glad to be back in Bedford.

Apart from insurance Sheila enjoys spending time in her paint shop with her wooden crafts or sewing or quilting that she took after her grandmother’s skills.

 

 

Karen L. Severs has been with Bedford Mutual for 2 plus years now. Even though she is somewhat new to our agency, her expertise with insurance products and customer service is outstanding. Karen answers the phone, takes payments, does quotes and writes both home and auto policies. The customer’s needs and best interest is her goal and priority. She has DMV experience and knowledge and that is a huge benefit for both the agency and the clients. She invites you to call and get a free quote or discuss your current policy coverages with her. She will greet you with a very pleasant front desk experience. Apart from insurance- Karen enjoys time spent sewing and do crafts and playing piano. She enjoys spending time with her husband Joel Severs.
